The 2010 Western States Conference & Trade Show

Portola Hotel & Spa, Monterey

The 2010 Western States Conference & Trade Show will be held at the Portola Hotel & Spa in Monterey from Sunday, April 18th, through Tuesday, April 20th, 2010.

The CFSP Western States Conference & Trade Show brings you the experts with the answers you need: legislation, regulations, public relations and exhibitors with innovative products. With legislation pending in most Western States and nationally that would dramatically change the way you do business, you simply can’t afford to miss this year’s CFSP Conference & Trade Show. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn what’s working and what’s not working in your state.

Long-time CFSP Conference attendee, Eric C. Norrington II, Senior Vice President of ACE Cash Express says:

"As I have said in the past: The CFSP annual conference is the best state conference that I attend each year. The agenda, programs, speakers and meeting environment all add up to a worthwhile experience. I believe that the majority of members find the time and money well spent. The stakes in California for a stable future are significant. We must have a strong, unified voice that speaks for all of our members. This event provides not only income, but also the opportunity once a year to share information and strategies to defend our business lives".

Welcome From CFSP's President
Aggie Clark, CFSP President

Thank you for visiting the California Financial Service Providers (CFSP) Web site. Here you'll have easy access to accurate and helpful information about our industry, our members, and our association.

We’ve found that while most consumers do business with a variety of financial service providers, our members offer important choices to Californians as they manage their day-to-day finances.

CFSP members provide convenient financial services including check cashing, short-term loans commonly called “payday loans,” money orders, wire transfers, prepaid debit and credit cards, and a variety of other services. CFSP members who cash checks hold check cashing permits from the California Department of Justice and those who offer payday loans hold deferred deposit transaction licenses from the California Department of Corporations. In addition, all CFSP members agree to follow our Best Practices. Consumers can feel confident that CFSP members offer financial products in a responsible manner with important consumer protections.

I invite you to explore our Web site to learn more about our industry. In the Community Connections section you'll see how CFSP and its members are making a positive impact in California communities throughout the state. The Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) pages will give you detailed information about our industry and products, and the CFSP in Action section highlights how CFSP is supporting the industry as it grows and develops during this very important time. You can also use the Members Directory to find a CFSP member conveniently located nearby.

In addition to the public part of the site, we have created a section especially for CFSP members. This is where you will find the latest news about our association, membership resources, and committee activities. CFSP members can also use the Vendor Directory to help find suppliers of products and services to the industry.

If you are in our industry and are not currently a member, we invite you to join the only California-based association that represents our industry to state policymakers, regulators, and opinion leaders.

We welcome financial service providers, consumers, policymakers, media representatives, or any other interested parties to review our Web site and contact us with any additional questions you may have. CFSP and company representatives are available to discuss matters regarding our association and our industry. We hope you find this Web site useful and welcome your comments on how we can serve you better.
