Thank you for visiting the California Financial Service Providers (CFSP) Web site. Here you'll have easy access to accurate and helpful information about our industry, our members, and our association. We’ve found that while most consumers do business with a variety of financial service providers, our members offer important choices to Californians as they manage their day-to-day finances. CFSP members provide convenient financial services including check cashing, short-term loans commonly called “payday loans,” money orders, wire transfers, prepaid debit and credit cards, and a variety of other services. CFSP members who cash checks hold check cashing permits from the California Department of Justice and those who offer payday loans hold deferred deposit transaction licenses from the California Department of Corporations. In addition, all CFSP members agree to follow our Best Practices. Consumers can feel confident that CFSP members offer financial products in a responsible manner with important consumer protections.
